Puff sleeves add subtly girly charm to this otherwise classic denim jacket. Hands down my favorite one in my closet as well (and I own about a dozen!) This functional yet feminine jacket goes with just about everything and considered a quintessential piece for spring – as the weather is so unpredictable. Not only is the design on point, the material is so soft and has stretch. I always look for denim with a cotton/spandex blend because it is curves friendly and doesn’t feel stiff or restrictive – good to go right off the rack!
I’m so impressed by the sizing as well! Comes in sizes XS – 5X from regular, tall, plus, and petite. Size inclusivity is so important and you should be able to look and feel your best irregardless of size, shape, or height. Since I’m only 5’1, I picked up this jacket in a Small Petite. It fits PERFECT. The sleeves aren’t too long and the hem hits perfectly right at my hips. I didn’t want a cropped style nor an oversized trucker jacket, this is a happy medium. Nice enough to go with a fancy outfit yet basic enough to for everyday casual. It’s cut well for a curvy figure as well. Fitted but with enough room in the arms and bust area and tapers in at the waist so it doesn’t look bulky/boxy. I’m so impressed and contemplating getting another one as a back up!
Let’s talk functionality. Not only is this an ultra feminine take on a basic piece, all the pockets are real! Can I tell you how long I’ve been searching for a puff sleeve denim jacket only to order one online and when it arrives, the pockets are faux?! It’s super annoying since I sometimes do not carry a handbag when I run errands. I need a place to store my keys and phone/wallet. Not only does this jacket have 2 chest pockets and 2 side slip pockets, there are 2 additional hidden pockets inside – so 6 total pockets on this little jacket🥰
