How cute is this top? The ruffles and acid wash are giving me all the 80’s feels🥰. To keep this trendy top wearable for everyday, I anchored it with a black skirt and accessories. I also made sure that all other pieces were in classic silhouettes: a circle skirt, pointed pumps, and a simple quilted crossbody bag.
When I first spotted this top I thought it was soooo cute. But then I thought, ‘Will this look good on a petite frame with curves?!’ The ruffles, puff sleeves, and boxy cut could be a challenge making me look wider and shorter with all the added material and width. But I’m a firm believer that petite yet curvy gals can wear anything as long as there is balance.
Curvy gals strongest features is highlighting their smaller waist. Since we are fuller in the bust, arms, hips, and thighs – I balanced the excess material by wearing a skirt that cinches in at the waist and drapes in a circle/a-line to balance the top’s ruffles and puff sleeves. Also, the black vegan leather is a good balance to the on-trend acid wash. Another good option would be slim/skinny pants or a pencil skirt.
