Remember to mark your calendars for the APS (After Party Sale) that happens twice a year. This is when you can score a significant amount of goodies up to 70% off! Also, make sure to follow Lilly Pulitzer on Social and sign up for the mailing list so you can be notified of any promotions. It’s really that easy! Can you always get away with paying less than retail? No. Sometimes there is something you just really really want and it’s fine to splurge. I totally get it, but at least you know you don’t always have to and you can get pretty LP outfits and accessories for a lot less if you’re patient!
And about this jumpsuit. So how did I score this Maliah Jumpsuit for $39 that originally goes for $178? NWT?And at 5’1” I didn’t have to bother with hemming either? I waited patiently for the APS and shopped in the girls/youth section!
If you can’t wait for the APS sale, then definitely check out sites like Poshmark and eBay. I’ve found numerous items that are NWT, worn only once, or in excellent condition. I’ve seen savings of over 75% so definitely shop around if you want to score some Lilly Pulitzer but you’re a babe on a budget (like moi!)
Finally, don’t pass up T.J. Maxx/Marshall’s. I’ve seen pieces pop up here and there but you really have to be lucky! I’ve seen a lot of her accessories pop up their as well. You definitely don’t have to break the bank to wear Lilly. But you definitely need to do your homework and keep your eyes peeled for LP finds online and in store. And if you’re looking for a past season item (this happens to me a lot!) that is no longer available on the LP website, you will probably be able to locate it by doing a Google search. Often times too, you’ll be knocking off a chunk of the retail price as well.
So if you love yourself some Lilly and aren’t hard-pressed for the latest prints (because c’mon now, you can’t go wrong with any of the LP designs!), you can definitely score yourself some pretty pieces for a fraction of the retail price. Happy hunting!
