Tarten Season in Full Swing

(STYLE HACK ALERT! KEEP READING!) Sparkles all holiday long. Combine it with tartan plaid? Even better! I paired my red sparkly ensemble with black accessories. The turtleneck is soooo and the skirt has an elastic waistband and lined for comfort. I don’t know what happened with my photo as it came out kinda hazy, so I apologize. This was taken on my iPhone with a tripod (as is with 99% of my OOTD posts!) I’ve been meaning to get a DSL, but maybe I’ll just upgrade my iphone 10 to a 12 and see if that makes a huge difference. I heard the camera on the 12 pro is awesome!

Sorry to get off topic! Anyways, like all of us, just been super busy with work and projects for my graduate work. Hoping to submit all my documents within the week for graduation as well for 2021.

Ready for the STYLE HACK? So if you’re petite (I’m a touch under 5’1″) so sometimes I can get away with shopping in the youth section. If you fit up to a size 6 (small or medium, depending on the label) – check out the kid’s section! I’ve done this with shoes, tops, and in this case, the skirt! It mimics a lot of the misses styling, but you pay like 30-50% less on average. So where should you look? I love the Target kid’s section in the youth sizing. I purchased this skirt for $19.99 and it is in a size XL (this can be considered a women’s small/medium). It actually fit perfectly for my height and there was nothing juvenile about the cut nor the sparkly print. Also, Target has been doing affordable fashion for years… and they did it again with this skirt! They have consistently good quality for the price and I love having my office next to a Target (but this is super dangerous as well!)

Outfit Details

Top: J.Crew in a size small; Skirt: Target in a youth size XL; Handbag: Tory Burch; OTK Boots: Amazon (7.5 – the footbed was loose but the shaft fit my thicker calves and thighs – so I had to go up half a size). Shop the look by clicking on the photos below.
